Love Is Blind, The Golden Life, RHOP and RHOSLC

Love Is Blind Season 11 heads to Boston, and Isabella breaks down the couples so far, from Stew and Jax’s brutal first meeting to Morrey’s early exit. On The Golden Life, the new E! series reuniting RHONY’s Luann, Sonja, Ramona, Kelly and Dorinda in Palm Beach, Sonja’s sobriety pledge fades fast, Harry Dubin crashes a yacht party, and Ramona’s seated dinner sparks a guest-list fight.

On RHOSLC, Mary’s boss brunch puts the whole group on notice, Meredith and Whitney spar over Quai, and Lisa refuses to apologize for the San Francisco diss track. On RHOP, newcomer Courtney joins the cast, Gizelle apologizes to Tia, and Karen throws a Color Purple themed party at a strip mall.

Plus RHONY wraps three episodes on Mosquito Island with Sai and Carole making up (sort of), Below Deck’s Chef Moe plays matchmaker in Phuket, and a quick Survivor tribal council take. Dad and Isabella, a father and daughter, dish on Bravo and reality TV every week.

Dad: Good morning, Isabella.

Isabella: Good morning, Dad. Today is Sunday, October 25.

Dad: Episode 20.

Isabella: Episode 20. Are you happy we made it this far?

Dad: Yes.

Isabella: So you've been traveling all week, but I think you still manage to watch most of our shows.

Dad: Correct.

Isabella: At least the important ones. Think the only one you didn't watch is The Golden Life. Correct?

Dad: Yes. And I might wait and see what you say about it before I commit to

Isabella: That's watching fine. Yeah. So with that being said, we have Potomac, Below Deck, RHONY, RHOSLC, The Golden Life. I have one comment on this most recent Survivor episode, and then I also did watch the first four episodes of Love Is Blind. Okay.

So I know I'm still behind, but I I at least know the couples now.

Dad: You know who Stew is.

Isabella: Yes. I have thoughts.

Dad: Okay. Where do you want to start?

Isabella: Whatever you want.

Dad: Did you watch Girl Climber? No. Okay. All right. Let's start with Potomac.

Isabella: We have a new girl. Her name is Courtney. She... Her husband is a Wizards coach, the basketball team, which is why they had just gone to that game. She's also...

She used to be a rapper, but now she's trying to be a pastor. So that's an interesting combination. There's a scene of her giving a, what's the word, sermon.

Dad: Practice sermon to her Yeah. Two So

Isabella: I don't know. I don't have any opinions on her yet.

Dad: I do. I thought it was boring.

Isabella: Okay. Fair enough.

Dad: I also thought that Stacey's storyline was dumb. Her dog thing in the beginning, they're

Isabella: trying Oh, I don't even remember. Like, I don't even think I wrote that down because I was it just wasn't important.

Dad: This is one of the places where since I was on the road, I was watching everything from a computer. And again, going back to if you watch YouTube TV on a browser, you can watch at 1.5 times speed. It was awesome for all of these.

Isabella: Oh my gosh. Ridiculous. Well, Tia and her husband, we found out last week that he admitted to being on dating apps. So they're just awkward, obviously. Let's see.

Gizelle's friend, Cal, her... He's been on seasons and episodes before. He's the... Her gay friend. He is completely right in calling her out for going straight to Ashley with the Tia stuff, like, about her husband.

He was like, I don't know why you think that was a good idea to go straight to Ashley, who's gonna go tell everybody. And Gizelle was like, No, you're right. You're right about that. I probably shouldn't have done that. Wendy and Robyn had a lunch, and I guess they have a clean slate now.

We'll see how long that lasts. I do think Gizelle did have a good apology. And who was she apologizing to? I guess it was Tia.

Dad: I think that's right.

Isabella: But she was talking about how she doesn't want to defend Wendy. So maybe she was talking to Wendy. See, these are the things I should have written down.

Dad: Well, no, think later, they were talking about the apology, and she said, Well, I'm not gonna apologize to Wendy because I don't steal Yeah,

Isabella: that's right. And then she went on to call Wendy a scammer and a criminal.

Dad: Yes.

Isabella: Which I think is... I mean, if she's guilty, true. But we don't know that for sure yet.

Dad: I did check the case has not happened was standing that they were talking about it happening imminently in this I don't know why. I'm assuming it's been delayed for various reasons.

Isabella: There are always these stupid delays. So Karen is hosting this party based on the movie The Color Purple, which I have not seen. Know that's culturally not cool, you know, neither of us have seen that. So I guess if you've seen it, then you kind of get the references that they're making, but we don't, unfortunately.

Dad: Well, I think at least one person in the cast said they're not familiar with it. Okay. We're not completely alone.

Isabella: Yeah.

Dad: I do like that she set it up at a strip mall.

Isabella: I wrote that down too, and it's like a med spa.

Dad: Yeah. Well, they created one out of nothing, apparently. I just assume that she rented some space in a strip mall and then had it gussied up and had all the stuff brought in just for this event. That's not really a med spa there in real life.

Isabella: I guess I assumed it was a med spa that she rented out. But who knows? I mean, med spas are in strip malls, so I didn't... I I don't know.

Dad: It did seem to be kind of out in the middle of nowhere. Was almost more of like an office complex, the way it looked from the outside. And I do like that Gizelle and Robyn and Ashley all made some sort of comment about it. This is par for the course for...

Isabella: You can always count on those three to have a comment about it. Carole is... Or not Carole, Karen. She's got some shady comments. Like, she's talking about wrinkles on Gizelle and energy drink, like that Robyn needs an energy drink.

She also isn't wearing her wedding ring, which the other women call out, mostly Gizelle.

Dad: Yes. And then Robyn questioned Karen about getting her ass laser treatment. Not... I didn't know that that was a thing.

Isabella: Yeah. I don't know. I know that there are all sorts of weird treatments at med spas. Like, maybe she got a sculpting treatment.

Dad: Oh,

Isabella: Yeah, who you probably haven't even heard of that before. Tia told Wendy about Gizelle's scammer comment.

Dad: Yes, I did write that down. Let's keep it on my notes.

Isabella: Yeah. And then Gizelle actually went to Wendy to ask her for advice, talking to Congress, which is funny. I guess Gizelle's going to talk to Congress about brain cancer.

Dad: I think so. Something to do with the foundation related to

Isabella: her Yeah, late which is great. I mean, good for her. Wendy thinks that, Oh, Karen's greeting Wendy, and Wendy's like, Uh-uh. And she thinks that Karen's being disingenuous because of how she treated her at the reunion, which I think is fair. I think it's fair.

Dad: I think this is one place where Karen does have at least a plausible response, in that she said, I liked it when your mother told you to shut the f up. So it's not like she said, I said shut the f up. Then they already give a preview. Maybe she said it in this episode, but I know it's going to come up again. I just meant this is Karen talking I just meant you should keep your mouth shut when you have pending legal action, especially if it's criminal.

Yeah. I don't know that Karen...

Isabella: Which is true.

Dad: Yes, it's a good rule to follow, just keep your mouth shut.

Isabella: Yeah. But I do remember watching the reunion, and Carole or I don't know why I keep saying Carole.

Dad: Because we like her.

Isabella: Karen, she was I mean, she wasn't wrong, but she was going at Wendy very hard. Like, I remember that being a thing. And I forget who brought this up. It might have been Wendy. If not, it was probably Gizelle or Ashley, because that's who usually does.

They're saying that the streets are saying that Karen was not in rehab during that reunion that she missed.

Dad: That did not go over well with Karen.

Isabella: Yeah. And I think it's gonna be a theme for at least the next episode, because that's quite the allegation there.

Dad: Well, I hadn't really thought about it, but all these people say, I'm going into rehab to fix myself. You know, I was listening to Bravo Docket, and they were talking about how Luann said that back in 2018 after her arrest. Who knows whether they do this or not, right? Mean, Unless they post up their invoice or their bill when they check out of the rehab center or put social media from the Betty Ford clinic, if that's still even a thing.

Isabella: Yeah.

Dad: And that's interesting. I could see her not having actually done it.

Isabella: It is interesting too because a lot of, like, bigger celebrities in general, general, like Hollywood celebrities, when they say they go to... They're going to rehab, they're really going to, like, mental health facility that's, like, really ritzy and fancy and very expensive, of course, but that they're not doing any actual rehabilitation work. They're just kind of... It's like a vacation for them.

Dad: Interesting.

Isabella: I know that this... I can't name names. I don't know of anybody off the top of my head that's for sure done that and passed it off as rehab, but I'm wondering if that's maybe what the situation is here.

Dad: I could actually see her just staying home and keep

Isabella: That her low too. But, yeah, that's gonna be interesting for the rest of the season. I felt like this episode was not as good as the first one or two. Agreed. But I think we got some story lines going.

Dad: Yes.

Isabella: And some drama that's going to play out, which we, of course, saw in the trailer.

Dad: Yes. And that's... It seems like these episodes or these... All these shows, the normal time to say coming up this full season would be after the first episode. Right?

But it's kinda weird that this one included... I don't know if this is episode two or three, but then they say coming up for the rest of the season, and then they show a lot of drama. I I like it. It it draws you in. It looks like Robyn is not going to fare well with everything, with everyone, including Gizelle, but looking forward to it.

Isabella: Yeah. That should be interesting. I don't know how that's going to play out. I know what you're talking about, the scene on the trailer, if the green eyed bandits are gonna turn against each other.

Dad: Could be or selective editing where they might have a slight bump in the road and then they hug you know,

Isabella: hug Yeah, it very well could. We've also had trailers before that showed scenes that ended up being cut from the show. So hopefully this is not a case of that either.

Dad: Me too.

Isabella: But that is all I had for Potomac for this week.

Dad: I'm

Isabella: excited for tonight's episode.

Dad: Let's do RHONY.

Isabella: Okay. Let me get

Dad: to I only had a right couple my comments, and then I'll feed off of what you say. First one was, I think that they had three separate episodes on Mosquito Island.

Isabella: They did, and I like It's

Dad: It just seems like a lot. Maybe that's because other times when they go on vacation, there's not as much material. Yeah. Or they just wanted to stay longer because it was expensive to get to and from there. I don't know.

But was not a problem for me. It just I kind of clocked it and thought, That's not... That's more than it was normally shown.

Isabella: Yeah. I feel like it's a little more what they did in old school Housewives, where these vacations were places to get multiple episodes out of. And I usually like the vacations a lot more because when they're not on vacation, there are a lot of these solo scenes with their families and stuff that are just often not very interesting at all, and I'm sure you agree on that.

Dad: A 100%, and that's what I was thinking of with the dog thing on Potomac, right? That was just lame. I don't care about your husband, Stacey.

Isabella: Yeah, which again I don't don't even remember.

Dad: Right. See, it worked. The only other thing I have down here is what does Hailey do? Like, I think that this will come up in another episode, but I think that if you're on a TV show and or if your friends, whether they're really friends or not, is unknown. But if you don't know what the other person does for a living, that is a little bit unusual.

And if you do something, you should be pretty good at explaining what you do. Yeah. But she seemed very hiding the ball or deflecting.

Isabella: Do we know she has a job? I mean, We don't. Like, kind of had the feeling that she's just like a... Even though she's not a mom, is she? Like, she doesn't have kids, I don't...

That we know of.

Dad: I think so.

Isabella: Because I kind of thought that she was just, like, not a stay at home mom, but a stay at home wife. I'm sure she does stuff here and there, but I

Dad: She is married, right? The one that has the purple marriage or whatever?

Isabella: The lavender marriage. Okay, sorry. Yeah, because Daisy's the... It's tough when they give us three newbies at once. Yes.

Daisy is the Martha Stewart makeup artist.

Dad: Right.

Isabella: Erika is the boxer who's married to the BILT Rewards guy. So that leaves Hailey, which, yeah, she was the lavender marriage. She's the one who has that extra apartment to get away from her husband, basically. Were talking about... Sai and Daisy were talking about how Hailey think...

Or they think Hailey's hiding something about her husband. So I don't... That's going to play out, I assume.

Dad: I almost wonder if someone planted something or they know something, that's why they're bringing this up because Hailey is married. So by them saying, what's your source of money? There must be something more to it than she is supported by her husband, because otherwise there wouldn't be much to talk about there. There's nothing wrong with being supported by your wife or your husband.

Isabella: Yeah. Well, maybe they're wondering about what her husband even does.

Dad: Could be.

Isabella: Because what

Dad: I don't know.

Isabella: We don't know that either, Yeah.

Dad: They've kept him pretty close to the vest.

Isabella: Yeah. Clearly he's not on the show, or if he is, we haven't seen him

Dad: yet. Right.

Isabella: But the episode starts with them kind of still talking about the Povit rumor that Erin... No, Sai shared. But Erin was talking about. Like, Erin is the subject of the rumor because I guess she was saying all this stuff. Erin is now saying that she hasn't spoken about Povit in three years.

And Carole kind of backs this up, cause she also says, she was like, Oh, I knew about that. That's an old rumor. Like, that's not new. So as much as I usually am not on Erin's side, maybe she has a point here. Now, don't get me wrong, it's still...

If she ever said that or made up that rumor or spread it, it's still wrong.

Dad: Right.

Isabella: But I guess for Sai to be bringing it up three years later is also a little bit dumb, especially because Erin makes a good point of saying, Well, why are you not mad at Sai, Jessel? Because she's the one who brought this rumor to television. I mean, you and I wouldn't have known this Maybe it's a New York City rumor, but the rest of the country didn't know. So that's a fair point from Erin, but Jessel doesn't seem to care that much. Oh, no, Carole thinks that Jessel should be mad at Sai.

I got that wrong correction. It wasn't... But I mean, I think Erin probably She

Dad: agree.

Isabella: Carole is also insinuating that Sai was a stripper. Like, I don't know, she was making some connection there. She was like, Well, I don't say that, Oh, she was about the Sai Epstein questioning interrogation thing. She's like, Well, I don't interrogate her about where she worked at, and I don't assume that just because she worked there she was a stripper, but maybe I should. She was making a point.

Dad: Right. By not saying she doesn't think about it, but saying it in a confessional on a TV show, now she's put it out

Isabella: there. Exactly. And Carole knows... Carole's smart. She knows exactly what she's doing.

They go on this boat, and Carole's on one of those little, like, I think they call them, no, not naughty boys. What do they call them on Below Deck? Those little things that take you around the water then How you much hold on propeller things. Yeah, yeah. Carole's on that, and this is kind of a dumb comment that I had, but she gets stuck and someone goes and helps her, but she's like, I don't understand.

Like, it didn't make sense to me why she couldn't just stand up.

Dad: Yes. He just helped her stand up. She was stuck in like...

Isabella: In sand?

Dad: I guess.

Isabella: She's in like maybe a foot of water? Like I do not understand. Like I had to rewind and be like, did I miss something here?

Dad: Yeah. I didn't know at first if she was stuck in some sort of reef thing and was worried cutting herself up, but my guess is that she just thought that she could ride that thing all the way into the beach and it got too shallow and it went right into the sand.

Isabella: Yeah. Maybe it's heavy and maybe Probably is heavy. Yeah. And it probably got stuck. I don't know.

But that was just a stupid comment I had. Sai and Carole did make up. They had a conversation, and Sai's actually talking about to Carole about how her husband was in a Ponzi scheme, which she kind of insinuated earlier in the season. But I guess she's saying it out loud that he's a scammer. Then Sai...

Dad: I thought Sai said that she got involved with one didn't... Somebody she worked for, and then she was drawn into it and people assumed that she was involved with it, and that's when Carole said, Wait a minute. You are talking about the same thing. You got drug into into being accused or connected with a Ponzi scheme, and people thought that you had something to do with it, and it was unfair, and now you're still doing the same thing to me because I have an email or two in the Epstein file.

Isabella: Yeah. No, I... Yes. Carole made a good point there. And maybe I had it wrong that it was her husband, but whatever it was, Sai and her immediate family were in some way connected to But a Ponzi then Sai asks Carole again, she's like, So you've never been to the island?

I'm like, Oh, my gosh. Look, we just fixed this. And I think Carole, like I don't think she really reacted in a bad way, but...

Dad: We'll see.

Isabella: Yikes.

Dad: If it continues to another episode, I think it's gonna blow up again.

Isabella: Yeah. Daisy's still being nasty about the place. Like, she's saying the furniture's from Pier 1. Like, why? Why?

Not that there's anything wrong with Pier 1.

Dad: If it still exists.

Isabella: Yeah, if it still exists. But I just... It's such a bad look for Daisy. It's not like Daisy's super rich.

Dad: No. I thought that... I couldn't tell the way they were doing... Going back and forth with Erika in her confessional during this part of the show, and Erika being in person, but it sounded like Erika was saying to her face, You can leave. Or...

I... They didn't show her mouth, but then they would show her in the confessional, and I I was hoping it was in person because then it would be awesome. Like, Okay, you don't like the decor? You can't come back.

Isabella: Well, you know how they do very interesting editing sometimes. So whenever you don't see the words coming out of somebody's mouth, you have to kind of take it with a grain of salt, because Bravo editors are known to clip lines from elsewhere and insert them where they feel that they're going to work.

Dad: Right. Well, and to their credit, they are going back and forth showing her in the confessional. They just happened to carry the audio over into the video that... Where they're still at Mosquito Isle...

Isabella: On Mosquito Isle. Yeah. The burping in the confessional was bizarre.

Dad: That's kind of a weak special skill.

Isabella: No, is. And it's just bizarre coming from someone like her. I don't know.

Dad: Think it's the fact that if she's claiming a skill of being able to burp on command or burp and talk on command, but okay, I used to do that when I was in middle school. Yeah,

Isabella: so did most people, not me.

Dad: Say the whole ABCs.

Isabella: Yeah. Gross.

Dad: Yeah. Not proud of it.

Isabella: Maybe you ought

Dad: check that out.

Isabella: Sai and Jessel are trying to make up... Or wait. No, Sai and Jessel are cool. Sai and Erin. Sai and Erin are trying to make up.

Sai... And they don't, really, but Sai thinks that Erin talks a lot when she's drinking, which I think we did see that on the episode of Ultimate Girls Trip. And it seemed like Erin sort of con conceded part of it. She said

Dad: sorry at a certain point, which made it sound like she was either agreeing that she drinks too much and talks too much, or that she was just sorry overall because she figured out that that's what I gotta say here to get out of this.

Isabella: Right. Right. So I guess they technically did make up, but like, Sai is still saying she doesn't trust Erin. She's like, I love Erin, but I don't trust her. And so, yeah, they made up, but I don't think it's gonna last very And then we saw, this was interesting too, we saw a trailer for the rest of the season, like how they do, how you'd We we saw not only a Lindsay Hubbard appearance, who I think they're maybe...

Maybe they're testing her out on RHONY.

Dad: Oh, interesting.

Isabella: Like, I don't know if that's confirmed. Maybe she's just actually making a cameo in one episode. We don't know. But I think she would maybe fit in with these women. I don't know.

At least with... We know she's good friends with Erin.

Dad: Right. Well, if they end up... Let's just carry that through. If they add her as a, quote, housewife, then would she still be on In the City?

Isabella: I don't think so. I think that they would Summer House? Have

Dad: I don't see her being on three Bravo shows, which

Isabella: makes I know.

Dad: If she's not on In the City, does In the City even come back?

Isabella: Well, In the City is currently filming. Okay. It is coming back. But I'm not sure. It's...

I mean, maybe Bravo knows that they need Lindsay Hubbard around, and so they have RHONY as a backup plan in case In the City doesn't work. Because we also know Lindsay's not gonna be on Summer House forever. Mean, she's got a child now. She might visit, but... So I don't know.

I think maybe it's kind of Bravo's backup plan of if they need to throw her on RHONY, they can't.

Dad: Since we're on a Summer House tangent here, how about your brother being two rows back from Carole at the Nets game Yeah. The other

Isabella: That is funny.

Dad: And you recognized him just from the back of his head.

Isabella: I know. Mom and I I both thought I was being a little bit crazy thinking, like, that's Carole. Like, I wasn't even going to say it because my brother and his girlfriend, we don't... I didn't realize they knew who that was. I didn't either.

But whatever. But the other comment I had was Lindsay Hubbard made an appearance, but also, you don't know who this is, but Devyn from The Challenge. So she was also on Real World, and then she was on The Challenge. She makes an appearance, and it seems like they're introducing her as a legitimate friend of.

Dad: Interesting. So

Isabella: I think we'll see that next episode. She was fun on The Challenge, so I think she could be good. We'll see. But that's all I have for RHONY.

Dad: Want to do Below Deck? Sure. I don't have much on this one.

Isabella: I don't either. It's still kind of getting its footing, but we do see some movement here. Like, chef is Chef Moe, because he said the first episode, he was like, I don't like to be called just chef. So Chef Moe, he is trying to be matchmaker. He's trying to put Matt and Kaylee together, and I'm still...

Like, I had to write down names, because I don't know who any of these these people are

Dad: still. Well, neither can that guy.

Isabella: He keeps So calling her I also write that down, that he doesn't... He calls her Katie. That's not her name.

Dad: Right. Yep. He'll get that eventually.

Isabella: I just now realized in this episode that Taylor Ann Green from Southern Charm was a guest on this charter. Oh, I saw Yeah. That last I didn't even see that the I first

Dad: pay more attention to

Isabella: you. Guess you do, even if you're on 1.5 speed. I noticed some things that the crew was not doing a very good job at. Like, the guests asked for chips and dip. Yes.

They were never delivered to them. They also ordered juice at one point, and this juice order took like an hour. That's the kind of thing that would piss me off on a charter.

Dad: Right.

Isabella: Like, are other things that guests get upset about that I'm like, like, it's that big of a deal. But if I ask for something simple like chips and dip or juice, I'm going to probably expect that to come back pretty quickly.

Dad: Well, and it's not just juice like apple juice or orange juice. It's like a juiced drink where they have to take vegetables and use a blender and use a juicer to make it, but still, unless you're warned ahead of time like, Hey, our juicer's on the fritz. It's going to take us a while. Then they might say, Oh, in that case, can you bring me something else? As opposed to waiting around for

Isabella: few Or even just communicate about it. Like, say, Hey, our blender's slow. That might take a minute, just to warn you. Do you want anything else in the meantime?

Dad: So

Isabella: I don't know how this both the deck crew seems to be getting better, but we'll see. The rest of the, like, the stews are questionable at this moment, as much as I love Fraser.

Dad: Yeah. Rainbeau is definitely going to cause some problems. Fraser is doing again. He has a hands off management style, but at least this season he got in early with her, but he was so oblique with how he described the issue that it's not gonna fit... Not gonna fix the problem of Rainbeau being...

She just doesn't have good manners. Just say please and thank you is one of the things they point out. My comments on the episode are insanely superficial. One, I wanna go to Thailand. It looks pretty

Isabella: Oh my gosh. Yeah. That's my overarching comment for the season. I know we've only had two episodes, but oh my gosh. It looks like another planet over Yeah.

Dad: Then I think Jessel is pretty good looking. I don't know that she... I think she's settling by making out with her boss.

Isabella: Okay. So that's the... I was gonna ask, which one is she?

Dad: She's the one that's the female deckhand.

Isabella: Yeah.

Dad: And I think she's American.

Isabella: I don't remember. I'm not sure. But, yeah, that's gonna end badly.

Dad: Yeah. Right. And again, think that she could have done better among the other people in the...

Isabella: Correct? Yeah. Yeah. I do think that in my opinion, Matt is probably the best looking guy there, and Alex, who is the bosun, her boss, is kind of probably the least good

Dad: That's sort of what I was getting. One it being your boss. Too bad

Isabella: for Yeah. It's like too bad it's just a bad combination.

Dad: Yeah. I don't know which of those other guys is which, but one, I could, even as a man, can see that he looks handsome. But is that the one that's already chomping at the bit, like the bosun isn't doing a good job, I have better ways of doing this. Or is that the other one?

Isabella: That's the other... I'm pretty sure, and I might get this wrong because we're still learning the names, but I'm pretty sure that one is James. Okay. And he's the one who was talking to Rosa, who's another stew, but then Rainbeau was kind of flirting with him, which honestly, was she flirting with him or was she just having a conversation? I don't know.

But Rosa took it as flirting. But I think that's who we're talking about.

Dad: Okay. Yeah.

Isabella: Apologies if I'm wrong.

Dad: They'll get over it.

Isabella: No promises. Yeah, so we have those three kind of couples. I think Matt and Kaylee are the most legitimate couple right now, but it seems like it's gonna be yet another season of lots of hookups, Yep. I

Dad: How about RHOSLC?

Isabella: Okay.

Dad: I watched it at 1.5 x.

Isabella: Five x?

Dad: 1.5 x. Okay. Five x would be insane. I don't even think you can go that high. Think YouTube is three.

Isabella: I don't even think it would make any

Dad: sense anymore. Normal three if you pay something. It's ridiculous. Even three is crazy. I know.

I can't do that. But I have no comments on it, but we'll respond to yours other than it was a lot of stuff. Oh, I do remember it, right? Especially the end with Mary's lunch luncheon and her really calling them all to task.

Isabella: Yeah. I think that was the big event here, was Mary's luncheon. But we did see I wrote down it was nice to see Britani and her daughters doing well. Yep. Like, that was a tough watch when her daughters were like, You don't...

You care about your boyfriend more than us.

Dad: Right, yes.

Isabella: So that's nice to see. They had a joint birthday party, I guess, Britani and her daughter. And Bronwyn, Heather, and Whitney showed up. They're talking about how Bronwyn met her boyfriend's parents, and I think Heather points out again, likely on Todd's dime, again, because I guess she flew out to Florida maybe? Wherever Yes.

She flew

Dad: Well, and this time, in fairness to Heather, it makes sense that she brought this up because Bronwyn raised the topic of... What's her husband's name?

Isabella: Todd.

Dad: Todd. He says, Hey, where are you in Florida? And he knew that because of the credit card.

Isabella: Yeah. So we've gotten confirmation that it was on his dime. Or at least she was spending his money there. Who knows? Maybe she bought the flight herself, or her boyfriend bought the flight.

But she was spending his money in Florida.

Dad: At least on his credit card, maybe it was subject to reimbursement. Who knows what kind of arrangement

Isabella: they Yeah. I don't know. But either way, it's not a great look. Okay. I mentioned the luncheon that Mary's hosting.

She calls it a boss brunch. She also used the words and I don't... I wish I could remember the context of this, but I wrote down matriarch elephant.

Dad: Oh, it was the... In a her... I believe it's called a herd of elephants. The matriarch kind of runs the show and leads them all to water, and so maybe she's trying to draw an analogy that she's the matriarch leading them to some sort of nourishing

Isabella: spiritual thing. I'm struggling. Sounds so pastor speak.

Dad: Well, or I could have just been not paying attention to that point, and I'm just filling in the blanks.

Isabella: Could be. Could be. Mary's upset at Angie because she broke Mary's rules of Angie was wearing a tie and no shirt, and Mary specifically said, No ties.

Dad: And no pants, I thought? No pantsuit? Like, you had to wear a dress or something.

Isabella: Okay. Was like, No pants?

Dad: No. Something else. Like, No leggings, maybe she said

Isabella: or Okay. Yeah.

Dad: Something similar to leggings that you laid in for.

Isabella: Yeah. Whatever. Slacks, maybe. I don't know. Something else.

But... Oh, Mary's also... Mary... I don't know what Mary has against Britani that's so deep running, but she's like, Britani brought me flowers, but they're really just weeds. Then later she's saying, Well, Britani stole my flowers.

Right. And it's just this whole thing between Mary and Britani is so weird, but it's funny. Which guess you like

Dad: one of them made the, I don't want to say allegation, but raised question of, Oh, I think that Britani goes to all people homes and gets next to them so that they name her in the will.

Isabella: I believe Angie said that.

Dad: Wow. That's Going out on a limb there, Angie.

Isabella: Yeah. I guess Angie has issues with Britani too. Do I remember what the issue is anymore? No, because there's constantly issues I in this just can't keep track of all of them anymore. Lisa is kind of getting back on Whitney, saying that she doesn't believe Whitney's really going through a hard time, which we know Whitney is.

We know Whitney's on the verge of divorce. But I kind of understand where Lisa's coming from because Whitney does kind of use this same, I'm going through a really hard time right now excuse in every single season.

Dad: She has gone through things.

Isabella: She has.

Dad: She just made it up out of whole cloth, but yes, I can see it getting old. People go through things all the time, but they still

Isabella: Yeah. Aren't We all have our own things, and it doesn't mean we're gonna go out and drink and say nasty things about our friends.

Dad: So,

Isabella: I don't know. I see both sides there a little bit. Whitney is then bringing up the diss track from San Francisco, Lisa and Meredith. She's saying they disrespected Bronwyn and everyone, and then Meredith comes back. I guess Bronwyn is kind of jumping and agreeing.

And Meredith jumps in and she had a good line. She said, Can you seal your mouth like your lawsuits?

Dad: Oh.

Isabella: That was a good line. Meredith did, after that, though, apologize. She was like, I'm sorry that that hurt you. That wasn't the intention. Lisa, on the other hand, still doesn't feel bad and won't apologize.

Dad: No. No. I don't know what it is about her. She won't say that she's sorry for being late on Ultimate Girls Trip, and then she won't say she's sorry because she doesn't mean it. Well, look, I bet you that a lot of people in real life don't mean...

When they say sorry, they don't mean it, but they still say it.

Isabella: Yeah.

Dad: She just says things that are in her head maybe a little bit too much.

Isabella: Yeah, and you don't have to be... You can stand on what you did, but you can still be sorry that your intention didn't match what somebody felt about it. All she has to say was, similar to what Meredith said, that the intention wasn't to hurt you.

Dad: It was just the timing thing. Had a thing and we wanted to bring it out.

Isabella: Yeah, yeah. Which, I mean, I'm glad they did. It was a moment.

Dad: Still catchy.

Isabella: Lisa had a good quote there too, though. She goes, I'll write a check, but I'm not giving you an apology. So, okay. Meredith is coming at Whitney again, though, saying that Whitney has a team trying to take Meredith down. She's saying that she found this out from Quai, says that Quai was...

Or Whitney is saying that Quai was supposed to come in and take Meredith's spot. And I guess the reason that they think that it's a team is because Whitney told Quai, We are so happy to have you, or something like that.

Dad: Well, and then I like how Whitney said, I never said we, I said I, because I do hope you take her spot. She didn't try to hide it at all.

Isabella: Yeah, I like that. It's finally real. It's not like so defensive and, you know. But Mary's getting upset about all this. She's disappointed and she says that she's questioning everybody now.

So that was I guess. But I don't know what Mary really expects at this point. I mentioned what Mary said about Britani stealing her flowers, and we talked about the Angie thinking Britani is trying to get into people's wills. And then I guess the only other thing that happened is Whitney and Quai seem to have made up. Yes.

Which is good because, I mean, they seem to be long time friends, and I know that Whitney was really close with, I guess, Quai's sister who passed away. So it would be a shame for them to not be cool I over

Dad: don't think that was the end, though. I think there was another scene or maybe I'm

Isabella: messing If up there was, I didn't didn't think it was Well,

Dad: it seemed like they were all together except for Bronwyn, and they start bringing up Britani's supposed real estate sleuthing forensic capabilities again, and it seemed like they were all jumping on Bronwyn behind her back and saying that there's a lot of stuff going on. And I just was a little bit surprised that how many of them or that all of them were all saying like, Oh, yeah, she's shady. There's something she's hiding. I don't believe any of this stuff. They're buying into the LLC.

Who signs versus who doesn't? And how much did the house sell for was another question in an earlier part of the episode, which I thought was Britani had a right to ask because she's in real estate. She'll end up finding it out.

Isabella: Yeah.

Dad: But that's gonna be an interesting follow on for next episode is how this Bronwyn talking behind her back shakes out.

Isabella: Yeah. And I'm not surprised by that. I think Bronwyn is center snowflake for a reason. Right? Like, and that it wasn't like that last season.

So maybe she really is the main character in this season. And that would track if they're all gonna kind of go at her for So I think it's good. I think it's picking up.

Dad: So

Isabella: I'm happy with the show right now.

Dad: Me too. Okay. You want to do Love Is Blind?

Isabella: Let's save Love Is Blind for last. Okay. And you... Let me talk about the stuff that you didn't

Dad: watch. Okay.

Isabella: Does that work? I'll talk about Survivor real really quick, and I don't want to give a spoiler, but I do want to say, and I guess this kind of is a spoiler, but I'm not going to say who got sent home or anything. They came the closest to drawing rocks in a tribal council than I think I've ever seen. And it was a really, really crazy tribal council. There was a lot going There were, like, extra votes going on, and it was pretty shocking.

It was really good. Okay. So Survivor's been good. It's just an easy watch. I know you're not as big of a fan as I am, but I just...

It's always just an easy watch for me. And this one was good. Then the other thing is The Golden Life.

Dad: I always think of the Golden Girls when you say it when you're

Isabella: saying it. That's fair. I think that's kind of a... They're trying to play off that anyways. For anyone who may not know what this is based on, it's the OG RHONY ladies.

So it's Luann.

Dad: Oh, okay. I thought you were gonna talk about Bachelor thing, like the gold

Isabella: thing. My gosh, no. That's... I was kind of surprised that you weren't interested in the show.

Dad: I was kind of surprised that you were going so far afield to bring in the old people version of The Bachelor

Isabella: or It's The Golden Bachelor. Oh, But yeah, don't watch that anymore. No, this is... Okay, I'm glad I'm giving an explanation. So, yeah, it's Luann, it's Sonja, it's Ramona, Kelly Bensimon, and Dorinda.

Dad: What streaming app?

Isabella: It's on, well, it's on E!, the channel, which I believe is also Peacock.

Dad: Okay.

Isabella: Because I think they're still in with NBC. Okay. But what's weird about this show is because it's not on Bravo, there are no flashbacks. So, like, any time they make a reference, we don't see the reference point. But I mean, think the people that are watching this show probably know the references enough that it's not completely necessary, but it's definitely something different.

We usually, of course, see the flashbacks because it's Bravo. Sonja is immediately saying she's not drinking. So she has this whole moral complex, and she's acting like she's better than everybody. It's funny though because maybe halfway through the episode, she's already drinking. Was gonna say Like she's how got a glass of wine in her hand.

Dad: Yep. Okay.

Isabella: They are having a yacht party. I wrote down whose dog is this between Dorinda and Luann, but that's just not really relevant. I guess they're at lunch and there was a random dog sitting there.

Dad: I was

Isabella: like, whose dog is this? Luann is talking about how she went to Sonja's show, because Sonja does this show, Sonja in Your City, and Luann asked to come. And Sonja said there are no tickets available, but Luann went online and saw that there are tickets available. So she bought a ticket, went to Sonja's show incognito, as she said. I guess she wore a hat and a wig or something.

Dad: She always wears a hat. She does always wear

Isabella: a hat.

Dad: That's not going in incognito.

Isabella: That's going in even more cognito. Right. If that's a word. If that's, yeah, if that's a word. So Luann found out that Sonja's talking smack about Luann at her shows.

Dad: It to this wasn't filmed, assuming.

Isabella: It wasn't filmed. No, Luann's just saying this. But I believe it. Back to this yacht party that I think Ramona hosted maybe. Harry Dubin is there.

Harry do you remember Harry Dubin?

Dad: That's the guy that they all kind of dated off of All of them. Okay.

Isabella: He is saying, and at this point, we're still in the, like, Oh, Sonja's not drinking. Right? But he's saying that he sees Sonja at the bar every night. Every night. Okay.

Sonja comes on the boat, and I think they have a little back and forth, because Sonja's the one who really doesn't like Harry Dubin, because I think she's the one he was the most serious with. And if you even remember, he kind of proposed to her at one point, like gave her a ring.

Dad: I vaguely remember that.

Isabella: I kind of understood.

Dad: They all then left for Luann?

Isabella: Yeah, something like that. So I kind of understand why Sonja is like, Why is he here?

Dad: Right.

Isabella: But Sonja, I don't know when she started drinking, but at one point I see a wine glass in her hand. Like she's drinking white wine. I guess it's possible it was nonalcoholic, but with Harry Dubin saying she's at the bar every night, I just... Come on. She starts to act a little drunk too, so I think, yeah, I think that was a half an episode sobriety.

Ramona's still mean. She has this other event, which maybe the yacht party was not hosted by Ramona, but she did host this event at a store, which she... I forget what she even called it. It was like a trunk show or something. Yep.

That's a term. Okay. I'm not middle aged yet. What? So I wouldn't know.

But, yeah, Ramona's hosting that, and it's a store that's just on... I guess they didn't put a sign on it that was closed for a private event. So people are walking in, and Ramona's like, You can't... She's being nasty to them. She's like, I don't know who you are.

You can't be here. You have to get out of here now. Wow. Like, you know how Ramona can

Dad: So, come

Isabella: like, there's this poor random lady that it's not like her face is blurred out or anything, and Ramona's just kind of like yelling in her face. And she's like, woah. Woah. Okay. Sorry.

It's, like, a tough watch. So Ramona is still mean. She's... She always has been, but she still is. She's also upset because Sonja, Luann, and Dorinda are all, like, an hour late for this Dorinda wasn't her fault.

She was going with Luann, and Luann is late, which is funny because Luann got so mad at Porsha for being late to her event. Now Porsha was two hours late, which is more than an hour, but still. Ramona is also oh, okay. We're not...

Dad: Is this all in New York, by the way?

Isabella: No. I should have mentioned. They're in Palm Beach.

Dad: Okay.

Isabella: That's where the show takes place. Where?

Dad: Where Luann was married and later arrested.

Isabella: Yes. Correct. Luann still has got a place in Palm Beach. So does... I think Ramona lives there full time now.

I think Dorinda Dorinda's whole story is, I'm gonna go visit for a little bit and see if I wanna move down there. They all kind of have their little... Kelly's like, Oh, I just moved down? It's like, you know how But it Ramona does live there.

Dad: Okay.

Isabella: They're no longer at this trunk show. We move on to this dinner that, again, Ramona's hosting. She's like, I'm having... But she doesn't say it's a dinner. So this is where it gets a little confusing.

She doesn't advertise it's a dinner. She's like, We're gonna meet at this place later, which I guess maybe kind of doubles as a bar too, which is why people were unsure if they were eating. She says, You can each bring a friend. Luann shows up with a friend plus a few more, plus her employees, which they keep calling You know how they have a label? They're labeling this guy as Luann's chief of staff.

Oh. And he's kind of attending a lot of things with her, but he comes along and Luanda's... Luanda? What am I saying? Ramona is pissed.

She's like, I don't understand how you would dare to invite random people to a sit down dinner. And Luann's like, I didn't know it was a sit down... I didn't know it was seated. I thought we were just kinda coming to hang out. So that was the thing.

Sonja's being Sonja, she's... I wrote down a quote. She had to go to the bathroom, and she goes, I'm farting while I walk, while she's walking through the restaurant, is That's shocking for her. Not shocking for her. I mean, she will say whatever is on her mind.

And then the cliffhanger for the episode is kind of Sonja and Ramona, but mostly Sonja, are dancing all up on Luann's boyfriend.

Dad: The chief of staff, or is that someone else?

Isabella: No, Luann's boyfriend, who she mentioned on... We actually met him on Ultimate Girls Trip. He was there But, yeah, it's the same guy. She's upset that she's like, Sonja always tries to steal my men. But I kind of think Luann does the same thing to her.

So that's just par for the course with these two, but that's going to play out next episode.

Dad: Did they give a trailer for the rest of the season?

Isabella: I'm sure they did, but I probably didn't watch it. I think I probably watched it at some other point.

Dad: Okay. Well, I'll catch up. I'll watch that one for the next episode of our I will be current.

Isabella: Okay. That is funny that you thought it was something completely different.

Dad: I was like

Isabella: Yeah. I texted you. I was like, You know The Golden Life is on tonight too, and you said, Meh. I was like, Oh, okay. Alright.

That's fine. It is funny though, because it's on the same night as RHONY.

Dad: Okay. So... I guess I have to set it up to record.

Isabella: Yeah. Well, just keep in mind on the next RHONY episode that we've got RHONY and we've got OG RHONY.

Dad: Okay.

Isabella: So that's all I had for that.

Dad: Close it out with...

Isabella: With Love Is Blind.

Dad: Yep. And I I won't say because I'm an episode ahead of you, won't say anything. I'll just... So you do know Stew and...

Isabella: I know of all the couples. Not all of them are officially engaged yet, but I wrote them all down, and I know there are two more couples that haven't been engaged, but they're going to be unless something crazy happens in this episode.

Dad: Well, tell me who the couples are, and

Isabella: I'm gonna Okay. Be So the Not that I can remember who they The first couple, we have John and Sarah, who I already don't remember, but I did write down meh. I don't remember that tracks probably pretty boring. Then we have Wilson and Wilnie. Wilnie or Wilmie?

The third couple was Cam and Aneha. I can't remember if I'm pronouncing her name correctly, so I apologize if I'm not. I wrote down that they're weirdos, but they seem cute.

Dad: Right. Okay.

Isabella: And then Stew and Jax.

Dad: Okay.

Isabella: This one I have comments on, but we'll I'll the the two remaining couples that are not yet engaged where I am is Rob and Michaella and Blake and Erika. Okay. So those are the couples, and then I have other comments too. But we can start with the whole Stew and Jax thing, because I think that's the biggest I mean, it's big on social media, that a lot of people have a lot of different opinions about how this played out.

Dad: Personally, even though I'm an episode ahead of you, I think that's the only one worth commenting on now. I think a lot more will happen once they go to Mexico and then move back and move in together in Boston.

Isabella: There's a lot of social media discourse around this couple.

Dad: Mhmm.

Isabella: A lot of men are thinking that he's... Like, they don't see any issue with him. They're like, this is a very good looking man. I don't understand. Like, he's

Dad: I'm not even sure.

Isabella: He's That's kind of actually out of her league. And maybe this is just like the red pill guys that I'm seeing on social media that tend to stand out more than the actual normal guys. So keep that in mind that I'm not saying that everybody believes this, but I feel like it's... I'm seeing a lot of, like, no, they're perfectly looks matched, which I don't know if you've heard that term before. I hate it.

But the the concept is that, no, they they're equally attractive. They should just be together. But the problem with that is she's clearly not attracted to him. So what do you want her to do? She could have been nicer and she could have been more upfront right there.

Dad: Oh, so you got through the part where they saw each other?

Isabella: Yeah. Oh, yeah. They saw each other. It's just that where it ended. That's where it ended.

She was talking about how she's like, I don't know what I'm gonna do here. I'm not really feeling it. That's where it ended.

Dad: Okay.

Isabella: So yeah, I'm aware of what happened there. I also am aware that they meet up later, but I haven't actually watched that part. I've just seen that on social media.

Dad: Okay. I don't want to spoil it for you.

Isabella: Yeah. I don't know how it... I assume they're not together. Like, don't think she's gonna be like, No, I wanna keep this up. I'm sure they break up.

But the discourse is really on, like, are these two people attractive enough for each other? And is she, like, being so dramatic for not giving him a chance? And I guess you could say that she should have given him more of a chance, but the vibe was weird. Like, his energy is weird. And he's talking such a big game about himself, like comparing himself to Kennedy.

Dad: Oh,

Isabella: yeah. It's It's just it's just like the girl a few seasons ago who said she looks like Megan Fox. Like, no, you don't. I'm sorry, but why are you setting yourself up like that? That was a brutal watch, though, their meeting.

Like, you can tell right away that she hates him.

Dad: Oh, yes.

Isabella: Like, she hates him. And do I feel bad for the guy? A little bit, but not really because of the way he's talking about himself, and he's like, seems so entitled, and it seems like they both kind of only cared about finances and getting to do cool rich people stuff. And so I don't really feel bad for either of them. I don't feel bad that she's not attracted to him, and I don't really bad for him that she's ditching him, because they're both seem to be kind of annoying people.

Dad: She reminded me of Kaitlyn Bristowe from Bachelor and Bachelorette.

Isabella: Oh, wow.

Dad: It's

Isabella: something That's about a her cocklemus.

Dad: And and this was back early days before... I'm looking at a picture of Kaitlyn right now. I think she's had some stuff done. But there's something... Remember how I always watch people's mouths?

There's something about her mouth that looks just like Kaitlyn Bristowe, and your mom of course is not even close. There's nothing about her that looks like her. When you look at it again, just watch her mouth and see. Something like the way her teeth are set up.

Isabella: Yeah. Don't know.

Dad: I'm reaching here. I need someone to agree with me. But then he does not strike me as a handsome man. He looks a little bit goofy.

Isabella: He's goofy, but if you're breaking it down into his physical features, he's got good hair. He doesn't seem like he's super short. I I don't know. Like, if you're... On paper, he's a good looking man.

I don't understand. But it's when you see him in person and he smiles with those big... That big goofy mouth, and he starts speaking, and his laugh. It's it's... There's more than just physical features that contribute to how attractive you are.

Dad: That's fair. That's fair.

Isabella: So... But, yeah. It's... I wouldn't see a photo of him and be like, that's an ugly dude.

Dad: Got it. Okay.

Isabella: But yeah.

Dad: Well, you kind of left it at the cliffhanger. We'll have to come back next episode. And I think that new episodes came out, or at least one. Again, I can't remember if they do four and four or five and four, whatever, but there was a new one that came out, I think, on Wednesday, but I have not

Isabella: Yeah. Watched Multiple. I don't know how many, but new. You know how they do batches. Yes.

Right. There were a couple other things I just wanted to comment on. Like you said, I think it's probably not a great time to comment on the couple specifically because we haven't really gotten there yet. But there were a few other people that, like, left and things didn't work out. Oh, the first thing I had to say though, which this is going back to the very first couple, John.

He's the one who walked out, left the door open, and is like, I just talked to my my worst rated girl. Yes. I mean, how stupid do you have to be?

Dad: Especially because they're probably telling people, like, remember to close the door, because it seemed like all the other guys were like, dude, close the door.

Isabella: Yeah. Yeah. So that was stupid. I wrote down that I don't like Morrey, which at the time I didn't realize that he wasn't gonna be really a main character.

Dad: I can't remember which one that is.

Isabella: He's the one who... He was like best buddies with Rob, like immediately. Like, when Nick and Vanessa came in, and they're like, You two have hit it off.

Dad: One's got a beard.

Isabella: Yes. That's Rob, I'm pretty sure. And Morrey was the other guy who I think is I'm not sure if he's blonde, but I think he has lighter features.

Dad: Oh, he's the one that they keep saying is smooth, and he talks a lot.

Isabella: Yeah. Yeah. And he was talking to Benita for a while, who is insane, by the way. She's nuts. And I don't like to say that all the time, but she's the one who was like, I think I'm falling in love with you on the second day.

Dad: And

Isabella: that ended super quickly.

Dad: Maybe luckily for both of them.

Isabella: Yeah. I think that was... Although, no, they wouldn't have worked. So now Morrey's moving on to the girl named Sarah, who I can't remember if she's even in. Oh, she's in the first couple with John, who I'm just talking But he is into her.

I wrote down at one point, though, Morrey and Rob should just kiss each other. Because I feel like they're talking to each other so often about... And I think this is where Benita stuff came in. They're talking about how, like, oh, she's too much. She's too much.

Dad: She loved Bummy.

Isabella: Yeah. Yep. That's exact... And I'm like, these two, they should just get together because they do seem to be obsessed with each other. I was surprised when Morrey went home.

I think his ego got bruised a bit when he realized that Sarah was more into John. But I I don't know. I think he could've could've been he good for TV, but he could've also been one of those people that I absolutely can't stand to watch. Like, Oh, was you're gonna

Dad: bring him back. He will show up at that

Isabella: Oh, he'll show up. Yeah. Yeah. He's just not gonna be a main character. Yeah.

We have some love triangles that play out. I'm not gonna go into that, really. Oh, the other thing I wanted to mention about Stew. He has never been in love before. And Jax is kind of, What?

That's weird. And the thing that he says is so bizarre is he thinks that maybe he could love her by their wedding day.

Dad: Oh, yeah. That's not a great

Isabella: start to Not good. Not good. I couldn't believe she still got engaged to him after that. That's plenty for my take on Love Island. So...

Dad: More next time.

Isabella: More next time. We'll maybe try the game next time. We'll see. Okay. It's football season.

Dad: Yes.

Isabella: It's tough. But thanks again for listening to our episode 20.
