Potomac Is Back, the Ultimate Girls Trip Finale and RHONY’s Private Island
Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip wraps its season with a finale party at Dorinda's Bluestone Manor in the Berkshires, where Luann finally apologizes to Porsha and Gizelle, Andy Cohen calls the cast his Avengers, and Vicki gets her OG moment. Isabella calls it an old-school Disney Channel crossover, and Dad says the Rhode Island ladies saved it.
The Real Housewives of Potomac returns with Karen back home, Robyn back in the mix, and Wendy showing off a new car named Psalm 91. On RHONY, a private island trip in the British Virgin Islands turns tense between Erin and Jessel while Carole provides the comic relief. On RHOSLC, Angie opens up to Heather about her marriage and Britani digs into Bronwyn's house sale, with Dad explaining why owning a home through an LLC is nothing unusual.
Below Deck Med closes out its season with Cooper and Kat calling it off, a glass of red wine thrown at Luke, and one last Nathan and Joe blowup. The father and daughter also tease next week's climbing documentaries, touch on Survivor, and pitch a new Bravo guessing game.
Dad: Happy Monday, Isabella
Isabella: Good morning, Dad. How are we doing? Great.
Dad: maybe we should stick with the normal order of Ultimate Girls Trip, then we can cover Potomac, and then RHONY, RHOSLC. Do you have Below Deck Med? Okay. And then we've talked about documentaries in the past. Let's save until next week a couple that I've watched, The Last First: Winter K2, and then another climbing movie or documentary called Girl Climber on Netflix.
We'll cover those ne- at least one of those next week
Isabella: Okay, yeah, I think the K2 was on my list. Um, so I'll have point.
Dad: Okay
Isabella: wanna make one on Survivor.
Dad: Sure
Isabella: I just thought it was funny that this recent episode we had a guy kind of fake an injury, he had the medical staff come out, and the medical staff pretty much told him, "There's nothing wrong with you." And he, uh, bailed because he was scared. Like, that's what ended up happening. his whole tribe is like, um, I think he just was embarrassed that he w- got the wanted to go home.
Dad: Oh Wow. Okay. No, I don't care about it. It was annoying enough that, uh, I just haven't watched any since. I'm sure I'll have to watch more when your mom says we should watch it
Isabella: Okay sounds good. Uh, I guess we'll start with of Ultimate
Dad: And I do wanna apologize to you and to those in the audience who care, me missing the last one. There were so many good quotes that I could have brought to the show. Uh, the, the prior episode, not the finale, I think as you called it, the penultimate episode, was good. And a lot of things I could've, we could've talked about, so my bad.
But this one I thought, um, uh... Well, I'll let you start. I don't wanna steal any of your thunder about main topics.
Isabella: I mean, I have a qui- quite a few things to say, but one thing I wrote down, and this is just general of the whole episode, is, and my, I guess, Gen Z and a little bit millennial people will understand this, the, all of the, um, housewives coming together for this final party, it felt a little bit like an old-school Disney Channel, uh, mashup.
Uh, I wrote down, "That's So Sweet Life of Hannah Montana." Um, it just feels like one of those, but I really, I really enjoyed it. We have... I wrote down so many names, Boz, Sutton, Carole, all of New Roni, all of Rhode Island, Dolores, Melissa, Heather Gay, Heather Dubrow, all the Lisas, Marisol, Angie K. Like, uh, it, the list goes on and on and on.
Really, it was, uh, just about everyone you could have possibly thought of was at this party in the, in the Berkshires at Bluestone Manor that
Dad: Who were the major people who didn't show up
Isabella: Well, I thought it was interesting. Now, of course, Ramona wasn't gonna show up 'cause she's not really cool with Bravo right now, but I was surprised wasn't there.
Dad: Yes
Isabella: and Luann, I mean, they're like maybe not besties, but had a whole show together. I mean, she was on Bravo somewhat recently, so I thought it was surprising that Sonja wasn't there. Um, that was the big one though that stood out for me. Otherwise, I feel like it was most- mostly everybody. Of course, I wish NeNe Leakes was there, but, you know, sh- I guess she can't, she can't Dad: Was anyone from Atlanta there? yes, Phaedra,
Dad: Oh, that's right. And, um,
Isabella: Cynthia,
Dad: yes.
Isabella: showed up a little bit late. Andy made a funny joke about it.
He was like, "Oh, I- you guys showed up in spring/summer," or he made
Dad: Yep. I thought that was good
Isabella: yeah, that was funny. Uh, where we left off before is we kind of thought that Luann and Porsha were gonna get into it on this bus ride, but it actually did not go that way at all. Uh, Luann immediately apologized, and she was like, "I, I guess I didn't realize that everybody felt this way, and I, I'll pay more attention next time." And Porsha and Gizelle, who were the main ones that were upset, they accepted the apology, and
Dad: it wasn't exactly like that as I remember it. They did start to fight in the, in the sprinter van, and at first Luann was pushing back. She kept saying, "Well, I- you think that about me? Well, you did this. You did this." And then they all, I don't wanna say ganged up on her, but they all were saying, "It's you.
It's you. You're rude." And she finally stopped being defensive and then apologized, and I had written down that it was one of the best apologies of reality TV. Most people don't ever concede that they're wrong and then say they were sorry
Isabella: Yeah, no, I, I agree with you. I think did give a good apology. I guess my point was the defensiveness happened all last episode. Um, like I feel like we started this episode and
Dad: maybe I'm mixing the two up, but I thought that they got in the sprinter van at the beginning of the fi- finale episode, and that's when Porsha says, "You were rude. You've been rude the whole trip." And, uh, I had written down that Porsha rules. Like, she came across as if someone else had written her lines to point out Luann's problems.
It was... Especially when Lisa Barlow jumped in and tried to defend her, to, to defend Luann, and Porsha said, "Stop that. You're enabling her. You're making this worse. You need to stop giving, doing this. We need to settle this now." Something along those lines, and I thought that was really good. Uh, impressive. I, I thought she was impressive.
I also thought that the Wendy's scene was amazing, when they stopped for food. Although there was a promotional thing at the end that they mentioned that, you know. But that is on point for Lisa. I think she's a Wendy's fan
Isabella: W- I think she is like a whole Wendy's ambassador, so that didn't surprise me, but I did think it was cute. It kind of, it, it
Dad: Well, and they were all eating it because, you know, on, with some Housewives or some Bravo, um, cast members, they wouldn't eat that even if they were getting paid for it. They would turn up their noses and say, "I don't eat that." I also had some other Lisa quotes. I don't wanna steal them from you. Did you write these down?
Are these ghost people? Is this The Shining? When they got to,
Bluestone Manor and there were all these fans, which I thought was kind
Isabella: Oh,
Dad: by the way.
Isabella: And
Dad: one thing to have fans
Isabella: the hotel they were
Dad: Oh, yeah,
Isabella: Lion
Dad: yep, yep. It, and, she said that about, you know, the ghost people, and then later... Okay, it could be.
It could be. Um, and then later, "What a wonderful group of pilgrims." I don't even know what that means. I th- I had written down that that was a Lisa quote, but maybe I was mistaken.
Isabella: sounds right. I don't think I wrote that one down, but yeah, that sounds
Dad: What, is she even talking about?
Isabella: Oh, I wrote down that Vicki is miserable again. Back to the fans, she's all like, "Why are these people..." Like, she just seems people
Dad: Yes
Isabella: guy that followed her to her room was pretty bizarre. guess somebody told her, like, "Oh, Vicki needs help," and he was like, "Okay," but for that help
Dad: No, no
Isabella: Kyle pranking Porsha was funny, with having, I guess, a producer hide under the
Dad: Yeah, I wanted to know who that was. Was it, like, Lisa under there? A producer would make a little more sense
Isabella: I think it was, 'cause they had posted on social media too, and another, I guess another one of the production team comes in and is laughing with them afterwards. So, uh, that was... I thought that was funny. And then, oh, so the theme for the party is Gilded Age, and Gizelle's on the phone with her daughter, Adore, and says, "Oh, the theme is Gil- is like the show Gilded Age."
And Adore goes, "Weren't you on that?" Like, what? Uh, do you know what? I forgot that Carole We
Dad: I had completely forgotten that too
Isabella: and good for
Dad: yeah. missed that, but we were watching that season in real time, so it's, it's been a while
Isabella: We were, yeah. We, maybe not real time, but we were watching it a while ago, so I guess it's been a minute. Let's see. There was so much going on in this episode. Uh, Teresa and Melissa were talking, and them being cool just, feeds my soul. It just makes me happy to see them happy. Um Dad: it's real if it's...
Well, ah, I liked it. I would like to think it's real, 'cause they are real family. Like, I would really like to think it's real. Oh, Melissa was also talking about how all of the Rhode like Dolores which
Dad: Yes.
Isabella: before. I think everybody's said that
Dad: they didn't have the Rhode Island people on there, to me this would've been a relatively boring episode, especially the end. I get your mashup comment, but there were just too many, and again, it's like, um, they're paying too much attention to giving everyone credit and there's no back and forth.
But the Rhode Island ladies, like they delivered, and they were going at it
Isabella: Yeah Luann was cracking me up, um, regarding the Rhode Island ladies. I guess Rula was talking about the whole, they were talking about the whole affair, and Luann comes in and goes, "Who died?" And then I guess she was talking to Porsha, and then Porsha said, "No, her husband cheated on her." She goes, "Oh, even worse." Uh, I thought that was funny. Dorinda comes in all angry and, like, really shuts down this fighting. She pulls the whole, like, "This is my home and I'm the host." how many times have we seen that
Dad: Ah, she's consistent. Don't eat it, don't eat in my bedrooms, and don't yell too loud unless I'm the one doing the yelling
Isabella: Yeah. No, you're right, she is very consistent about that. Um, except that right after that scene, I feel like a few of them went up into the bedroom with their shoes on the bed, which is exactly what is against the rules. So I was surprised we didn't get an argument there. oh, but the... Yeah, okay. Andy Cohen comes in.
Gizelle's like, said he looks like Mr. Monopoly. And then he gave a nice speech. I mean, I know this is the part that you don't care about, but he s- told them all that, "You are my Avengers," and they all... It was a nice
Dad: The speech was fine. I just thought that the rest of it was, like, boring
Isabella: Yeah, th- that's fair. Uh, this was nice. I have always been, like, a Teresa defender. You know this. I- it was really vindicating, for me personally, but that, just that M- Melissa apologized to Teresa for, like, kind of stealing her thing, and that she was like, "You were here first. I'm aware of it. I took an opportunity, but I apologize, 'cause you were here first.
This was your thing." And then Andy also apologized to
Dad: That's interesting
Isabella: Yeah, that was crazy. Oh, oh, okay. Oh, I was gonna talk about... Actually, I'll when we RHONY
Dad: Yep. Okay
Isabella: saw Erin's. I'll, I'll get, I'll get, I'll come back to that. Um, of course, Lisa Barlow and Heather Gay are arguing in front of Andy.
Andy's, like, trying to work it out. Um, doesn't really. then I think the big thing at the end was they finally kind of gave Vicki a moment. they acknowledged her and said, "You're the OG. You're the reason we're all here." And then, uh, someone said, "Do you want Lu to sing you a song?"
Dad: No more songs. No more singing
Isabella: That's where I like Vicki, is where she, um, annoying, and she's kind of a Debbie Downer, but she,
Dad: 100%.
Isabella: Yeah. And then we ended with Andy Irish goodbyed, and then there were fireworks, and we got Chanel Ayan saying, "I'm too pretty to be cold." And, uh, I gu- I mean, they all kind of had, like, a little sentimental moment, and then the, it
Dad: Roll credits
Isabella: yeah roll credits. I think generally... I mean, I enjoyed the show. I know there were moments that were, like, maybe kind of boring, but overall, I thought it was a great idea, I
Dad: next season, if they have one
Isabella: I don't know. I don't know if we're ever gonna get another but
Dad: I hope not.
Isabella: God,
Dad: The others were better. Okay, since you mentioned RHONY, do you wanna switch to that before we get to the, what I think is the much better, um, news show?
Isabella: Yeah.
Dad: Yeah.
Isabella: I
Dad: Okay
Isabella: think that's a good... We'll come, we'll come back around to Below Deck, but, um, in- on RHONY, we've seen that Erin and Jessel are kind of getting into it because Erin said some nasty comments about Jessel at this Bluestone Manor party. And so we saw those conversations of just pretty much exactly what was said on RHONY, that Erin blah
Dad: Thirsty and yeah
Isabella: whatever. So I guess that's a good segue into RHONY. In RHONY, they are on this private island in British Virgin Islands Island
Dad: Yes
Isabella: Erika brought them there. Erika is the girl who is the boxer and married to the Built Awards, Built Rewards guy, An- Anchor, Anchor Jane, I believe.
Anyways, um, Sai is not doing well. Her husband filed for divorce, like unbeknownst to her, so they're kind of comforting her a little bit. Let's see, what else is going on? Oh, Carole and Jessel are kind of joking with each other about this dingbat comma, which I thought was kind of nice. being weird, too.
She's, like, mistaking birds for drones, um, in the middle of Jessel
Dad: I thought that was a great way to exit that conversation.
Isabella: bizarre conversation, but I fine
Dad: Yeah, Carole's defense, the bird was, you know, on a updraft, and so it looked like it was stationary. It wasn't, like, soaring and moving around. It was just in one place. And so when she thought it was a drone, it's understandable. And I was, like, thinking, and sorry to be so callous, but I've heard this story before, and her, like, suddenly jumping into, "My dad died," to try to deflect from the fact that she can't drop the Carolyn Bessette stuff.
I mean, w- Jessel will just shut the F up and don't mention that woman's name anymore, especially in front of Carole, and she just can't do it. But, um, yeah, Carole wears socks when it's hot. I thought that was interesting. She doesn't really give a shit what people think. And she sa- you can tell she travels more, or at least she's, she understands the benefit of comfort over what she's looking like.
And, you know, everyone else, when they have... You're gonna, I'm sure you're gonna talk about it. They have this dinner, and it's at the pool, and they get thrown a curve ball because they're having it in the pool, like in standing water, about six inches, so the- they can't wear shoes. But it doesn't phase Carole because she's dressed for comfort, dressed for travel, and she has a sweater on, and they're all cold and whiny 'cause they've got their designer dresses on.
And she's the one that's smarter than everyone
Isabella: Yeah. I, I fee- I see a little bit of myself in Carole in that way, in that she doesn't really care what anybody thinks. She's just gonna be comfortable in whatever she's in. I feel like Carole's been good, a little bit comedic relief, especially this episode, 'cause there were some kind of heavy conversations going on, and, like, heavy accusations and some nasty comments being made. the main one is the whole Jessel's insurance fraud accusation for Erin's house. Um, but Daisy is really the one who's being super messy here, 'cause Daisy was in that conversation with Jessel and even, like, supporting uh, guess accusation. And so Dairy- Daisy spilling this to Erin is pretty messy, 'cause Erin's losing her mind, and then I guess they confront Jessel later.
But to Jessel's point, she's like, "Daisy, you were talking about it too." and go ahead
Dad: it, made me wonder whether it was editing because when they showed the flashback going into the show, it did make it look like Jessel was the only one, and she was pretty careful to say, "Is that an insurance thing?" And that's not a British accent, even close. But th- and she didn't say insurance fraud.
She just, like, asked it in a way, but that's pretty clear what she's hinting at. And they didn't show, uh, Daisy saying anything about it other than being there. And then what's the other gal's name? The boxer, wrestler.
Isabella: Erika. I
Dad: Erika. Erika. Yeah. And so that's what I'm getting at is I can't tell if she's innocent, just happened to be there and, like, smiled, which is what they were kind of showing in the editing, or if she was back doing some of the back and forth too.
So I didn't know if she was catching strays here or was innocent. Or, I mean, guilty
Isabella: to, Erin's point, I guess Erika... Erika. Um, made it seem like defending
Dad: Yes.
Isabella: to Jessel, and that definitely didn't happen. I think now Erin's gonna have a problem with probably all three of them. what was funny though is Erin's kind of clap back was saying that Jessel wears Shein. Like, okay. those who don't know, and you might not Shein
Dad: don't
Isabella: a... It's, it's basically
Dad: Oh, okay. Does she really, or is that just she's thrown
Isabella: She definitely... I mean, maybe she has before. I think we all have before, um, no, t- Jessel's not wearing Shein. I'm sorry. That was, like, just a stupid insult, I thought.
Dad: Well, then also Erin and Hailey were getting so catty. One, they're dumb. They think that they're not being recorded, and they were not only on audio, but also video, taking shots at the house, which I thought ma- I don't know, maybe I don't go to enough, um, private islands,
uh, that it looked pretty sweet to me.
I mean, a little futuristic the way the house was laid out, but looked like everyone had a room with a view. And maybe they didn't have enough food for them at the beginning, uh, but it seemed beautiful. And, you know, beggars shouldn't be choosers, but th- they, they were really, um, laying it on thick about how the, the, the decorating was up to s- wasn't up to snuff, and it just sounded so, um, bougie
Isabella: Yeah, Daisy especially was like, "Oh, Martha would be, like Martha would hate it." But like, sor- like, just because you hang out with famous people doesn't mean you get to be nasty about, like, stuff like this. Like, like you said, I think, uh, we, yeah, we haven't been to private islands or anything, but it looked beautiful.
Carole said she loves it. I mean, Carole did jump in and was like,
Dad: Right, and it's free. And I said Hailey before, I meant to say Daisy. Sorry, it was Erin and Daisy who are being nasty.
Isabella: out the new girls Um, yeah, so they, eh, they- Daisy's continuing to be shady at dinner too. She's asking a lot of questions about the island. Uh, turns out they share the island with, like, some other families, so Daisy's, like, kind of trying to say, "So it's not your private island." But come on. Come on.
Um, for somebody like Daisy who is just a makeup artist, she, she does live in a rent-controlled apartment who, that she's gotten some, not hate, but Jessel's kind of gotten on her. Or for somebody like that, I would think she'd be a little bit more humble about the vacations she goes on. I think those were the big things. There were, there were a couple funny moments. Hailey, they were at dinner, and Hailey keeps going, "It's, it's raining. Guys, it's raining. Like, hello, it's raining." Um, and nobody's listening to her, and then it starts majorly downpouring. they all r- are running inside.
Carole falls into the bushes, a la Luann. Um
Dad: up on that
Isabella: yeah. So I guess that's kind of how the episode ended. I mean, they did... Yeah, they had, we had the confrontation with and Jessel and Erin and Erika, and that's gonna continue into the next episode. But I think it's good so far
Dad: Yeah, I like it. I like it.
Isabella: So
Dad: All right
Isabella: we discuss the
Dad: Sure. And then let's do RHOSLC and then end on the new one on Potomac. How's that? Okay,
Isabella: good. I didn't have a ton for this episode. I mean, they're kind of wrapping up the last charter. Uh, Cooper is thinking that he is not gonna have to tell Kat how he feels, which again, how many times do we have to say it? He's, it's just very cowardly. Their final charter is over, so they're kind of at the club, and Cooper's talking to random girls. so obviously Kat is gonna have some sort of feelings about that and be like, "What are..." like, "What are you doing?" And they ended up breaking it off in the club, so Cooper can go continue talking to other random girls. Uh, in the same club, Jenn and Joy are getting along very well, until Luke And
Dad: Word
Isabella: do you wanna share what to do
Dad: No, go ahead Isabella: Well, uh, she goes and gets a glass of red wine and throws it directly onto Luke. Um, but the, the craziest thing about that is I loved Joy's reaction, how she didn't... I would not have blamed her if she was like, "Oh my gosh, Luke, I'm so sorry." Like, "I can't believe this happened." But she didn't do that. She actually went over to Jenn and comforted Jenn, and was dancing with her again, and then, and Luke I Wow
Isabella: I, I
Dad: As she had her girls' back
Isabella: Yeah, she did. I liked it. I mean, Luke... I did see that on social media somebody asked how it k- how it went with Luke. Somebody asked Joy, and she said, uh, he, all he... like, "The flowers were nice, but he's all talk." Like, there's nothing else there.
Like, he's just, he's all talk, no action, I guess, is what she
Dad: we shouldn't be too surprised
Isabella: I thought it was ironic that Nathan's over there telling Kat that she deserves Like come on
Dad: Ja
Isabella: he's not, he's not wrong, but wrong messenger. And then we, of course, have the Nathan and Joe fight at the end of the season. I mean, at this point I feel like it was planned. But the next day they, like, made up and agreed to not be friends and never see each other again, but, like, be cool, I guess.
Dad: Why do you need to come to an agreement to never see each other again? It's
Isabella: That's just a TV thing. Like, in real life, y- if you don't wanna see anybody, You
Dad: the normal reality TV show similar makeup is, "Oh, let's just be cordial because we're gonna have to be on the same show again." Well, at least, you know, Joe doesn't have to worry about that ever. But, um, and I think that Nathan is still on the run is the last I'd heard, although I'm not, like, keeping daily tabs on him
Isabella: Ugh, I mean, I hope they catch him at some point. yeah, I don't know. He might just be on a We'll see
Dad: Yeah, I'm-- I think the n-
Isabella: was Aesha kinda jumping in. Now, she wasn't defending Nathan, she was defending Gail, Joe really took that hard. Like, he went and had a, a breakdown, and it was kind of sad to see.
But, they were fine the next day. And, we saw some pictures from Aesha's wedding that were nice. And I guess we have Below Deck starting, the new season
Dad: Where is it?
Isabella: I'm not, I, I'm not sure, but I know it's, it's Below Deck OG. The one we, we've been talking about is Below Deck
Dad: So who, which captain?
Isabella: I think it's... Oh gosh, what's his name? It's the captain that from the Below Deck I
Dad: Oh, the, I was gonna say the bald guy, but there's, there are two. Okay. Yeah, yeah. I think he's, Australian or New Zealand.
Isabella: Yeah
Dad: Okay
Isabella: S- we'll be covering that, but I thought it was a good epis- or not, a, a good season Deck. It was
Dad: I was Yeah, she said she can't remember anyone on it.
kind of in between. I've s- we've certainly had better seasons. There were moments, but yeah, I, I give maybe a seven
Isabella: Yeah
Dad: if we're gonna rate them.
Isabella: I think
Dad: Okay. All right
Isabella: move on
Dad: Yes.
Isabella: Who I, um, I always forget that we say it like that. I had a comment on our TikTok this week. Uh, someone said, "You know, I've never heard it said like that, It, makes sense It just
Dad: It, '
Isabella: cause I
Dad: I think it makes sense except we're not consistent at all. We don't do it for every show, and some of them it would work, like RHOP could be, um, Potomac, right? And maybe we should start saying that. But we don't do it for Atlanta, we don't do it for Orange County. But anyway, RHOSLC, it, you know, you have to be paying attention to get it correct. I
Isabella: funnier to me
Dad: I do have an initial comment, and this is so superficial, but I think last week was the one where I was saying that Angie K looked different in the confessional than she does in the episodes, and it's not just an outfit.
Isabella: I know
Dad: She has green eyes in the confessional, and yes. And your mo- I gotta give credit to your mother.
She's the one that spotted it, and of course she doesn't have green eyes in real life, and they, you can even see it in the episode. So,
Isabella: Yeah
Dad: obviously not that important, but
Isabella: for the record, I did notice that in the first episode, but I didn't think that that's what she looked I
Dad: I think...
Isabella: I thought
Dad: Oh, yes
Isabella: some and I
Dad: so. I think so. But, and th- this goes b- to another thing that comes up every once in a while. For some reason, I look at people's mouths when I talk to them, as opposed to in their eyes. I've been working on switching, right? So I tend to notice people, what they... I can sort of read lips.
I can... And I notice when their lips or teeth look different very quickly, 'cause that's, I'm so focused on it. So I can tell someone, and your mom gets pushed back all the time, like, "Oh, that guy's got braces on." She's like, "No, they don't." I said, "I'm telling you, they're see-through braces. I can tell the lip..."
Tom Cruise, he did this years ago, and I could tell on, like, a, a show that he had them. Anyway, I can tell when someone's had their lips done because I pay so much attention to it, and that was what I was initially seeing, and I think that I miss the eyes because I don't watch the eyes. Anyway
Isabella: Well, that's fair. Um, we'll see if Angie wants to
Dad: That's the least of her issues. Yeah. That,
Isabella: is t- Yeah, that's where we'll start. That is the least of her issues. Um, it made me really sad to see Angie. I mean, she completely broke down to Heather over her marriage. Uh, known this, she's known her husband for, like, 30 years.
I think they've been married for 27 years. Um, and she's just talking about how they, they're not connecting. They, they don't really talk. Um, she says it's, it's awkward sometimes. And it's, yeah, it's tough
Dad: It is. I felt sad for her. So I'm not just calling her out on her looks. Like I f- I was I felt empathy towards her
Isabella: Yeah I think, uh, since then I'm pretty sure have filed for divorce. if not, then they're at least separated, so it's sad. only on the
show especially Uh, there was... I didn't have a ton to say about this episode because a lot of the topic of conversation was, something that I'm not really sure how to talk with my father about, like the museum Um
Dad: fine
Isabella: gonna kinda
Dad: That was probably the most boring part of the
Isabella: It wasn't... Yeah, it wasn't that good anyway. Um, this is good though. Britani has a lot to say about Bronwyn, and she's not wrong. She thinks that there's a, a lot of stuff that's not adding up about the divorce. Uh, for example, is saying that the house is in both she and Todd's name, and that they sold the house, so Bronwyn, I guess, is money and is now buying another house. But Britani did a little bit of digging and found the deed, and found that only Todd's name is on that, and they're thinking that maybe the new house that Bronwyn bought an agreement from The
Dad: Yeah. I, I think that this is an example, and Heather was correct in saying she's more like the Keystone Cops or something like that, or ch- Inspector Gadget. She, you know, she might have a little bit of information, but that doesn't mean she knows what she's talking about. And Bronwyn never said that we are on the deed or we have title together.
She said we own it. And Britani finding that it was owned by an LLC and only signed by the manager doesn't mean that Bronwyn isn't an owner of the LLC. That would never show up on the paperwork. And I thought it was interesting that Heather pointed out, like, my company's in an LLC, th- my house is in an LLC.
And so the question really is, if Bronwyn wanted to be super accurate and say, instead of, "Todd and I own the house," she w- would she have, like, said in just idle conversation, "Todd and I decided to title the house in an LLC, and we're both members, and he's the sole manager"? That would be so lame. So she still could be getting half or some portion of the money from the LLC.
We'll never know. And then, uh, I thought it was a lot of speculation to assume that the house that she bought for her mother was part of this divorce settlement. Who knows what the real story is? It just goes... I, I always have to take a step back. I don't believe anything, and especially if it's reported in the news media or, uh, you know, it, there's always more to it that comes out with the passage of time.
Isabella: yeah, No, I agree. I just... I guess my baseline where I'm agreeing with Britani is that it, it doesn't sound like it all adds up, but, uh, it's, it's none of their business either. Bronwyn can share whatever she wants regarding the
Dad: for the audience, if you have any kind of attempt to, if you want to keep things more private, especially if you're gonna be on a reality TV show, owning a home in an LLC is not shocking. That, there's nothing unusual about that. That's one of the ways that you keep your name out of public records.
So the, there's nothing about that that makes it more questionable, and I think that's one of the reasons why, I think it was Heather said that her house is in an LLC
Isabella: Yeah. Fair enough. Fair enough. So Quai is definitely still mad at Whitney. Uh, she thinks that, or she's upset that Whitney shared the toothbrush story, Whitney thinks that Meredith is in Quai's ear, and they're kind of just all going back and forth with this. I mean, Bronwyn's kind of throwing Quai under the bus, that Quai talks bad about everybody except Meredith, and this is where I'm starting
Dad: I got lost completely. I have no idea what was going on
Isabella: yeah because then she's saying, no, she does talk about, she does talk bad about Meredith, but she loves Meredith, and I'm just, I, I'm very confused by this. Uh, there were a couple funny jokes made, though. Heather, they're, um, they're passing around this baton, I'm putting air quotes the baton
Dad: Yeah,
Isabella: those who know what I'm talking about
Dad: Yep
Isabella: Um, but Heather made a funny joke. She was like, "I feel like Lisa's like Fantasia with this baton." Um, like arguing with it, like kind of like flinging it around all
Dad: They sh- they should give Lisa a baton more often because I thought she was gonna take it and just go crazy and never stop talking. But it was the only time I think that she's ever made, like, a cogent argument and said something that seemed to make sense, not ruffle feathers, was somewhat balanced, and then she handed over the, quote, "baton" and was done. I thought, "Wow, that was surprising."
Isabella: Yeah. I think generally Lisa's been pretty... This might be my famous last words before she goes crazy, but I think she's been pretty normal this season. Like, sh- I, I understand where she's coming from for the most part. although I was laughing at her lining her lips and all the jokes that the rest of the cast was making about that.
I thought just, like, that's why I like this cast, is the- those just, like, stupid comments are funny. But I didn't have, I didn't have much else to say. Of course, the
Dad: No, and I thought of a segue. When they were going the back and forth and I got lost, I, now looking back at it, I feel like, um, what's the old lady from, uh, Potomac? Yeah, I felt like Karen sundowning. Like, I was just like, "I'm lost." So with that, let's, let's go to Potomac.
Isabella: Yeah great segue
Dad: Right. and and let me jump in and say first, I don't know that I've always been a fan of every one of the seasons. Like, it's had ups and downs,
Isabella: I I agree
Dad: the first episode of this season, I, uh, I took a lot of notes. And at big-picture status, pound for pound, housewife for housewife, this has gotta be the shadiest one out there. RHOSLC has gotta be close, but if the previews for this season match up to what the- they're showing and if it's anything like the first episode, this could be like gangbusters.
Like, breakout, I don't know if breakout's the right word 'cause they've had good years. Back. They're back. It's, it, it's insane
Isabella: Yeah. I, I agree with you. They, they had a really strong start. They had a really good first, like, four or five seasons, fall off for a little bit
Dad: Yes
Isabella: um, and I don't wanna, I don't wanna speak too soon, but I, I do agree. I think there's a lot of promise here for this season. this season opens with Karen.
We know Karen got out of prison. She's all zen with her, like, sound bath and her crystals, which is so funny. It reminds me of Teresa when she got out, out of prison and was, like, a
Dad: I wrote down that it seemed very performative
Isabella: Yeah, yeah. there's... It's very clear there are gonna be issues with Ray. I mean, we see him get in the car, and, Karen, I don't know if she's joking or serious, says he has a new I mean
Dad: I, I didn't get... I, yeah, I don't know.
Isabella: I,
Dad: I think she's referring to herself, meaning
Isabella: gonna
Dad: ah, yeah
Isabella: she talking about herself or is she indicating that she might be cheating?"
Dad: but you can't really take anything at face value. Not to skip too far ahead, but at the lunch she was with, uh...
Isabella: Ashley
Dad: Yes, thank you. says, "I'm not a big drinker." And I thought Gizelle's neck s- neck was gonna snap when she turned to look at her like, "What you talking about, Willis?"
Isabella: come
Dad: a phrase from before your time. but yeah, uh, and then she tried to blame it on pills or medications. She's like, "It's, it was really medications." Well, uh, maybe they, it was both. I don't know. But, um,
Isabella: I think it was probably both
Dad: yeah
Isabella: Um, yeah, it's... In the same lunch, Karen is also very defensive over Ray and saying, like, "That's none of
Dad: more specifically, she said, "I'm not being defensive. That's none of your effing business," which I think is pretty inconsistent
Isabella: Yeah. Yeah. oh, we found out Ash- Ashley is still seeing The,
Dad: Sideshow Bob with his haircut.
Isabella: him Jack Harlow, but yeah, the guy with the hair. And, oh, Karen is not, Karen does not seem to be happy that Robyn's back. She keeps her Robert
Dad: Yeah. I don't either. I like Robyn. I think that she's great to have back. It's gonna be... I don't know. There's something about she and Gizelle or just what she'll say on her own, it's just, she's great, so I'm looking forward to that
Isabella: Yeah. Uh wait, Karen was being very shady about Robyn on Watch What Happens Live too. like she was telling Andy, she was like, "The, the friend of role really suits her." But like the way she was saying it was very shady. Like saying like, "No, she needs to... Like, she shouldn't be a housewife. She's, she could stay
Dad: Oh, she's not a full-on housewife?
Isabella: I guess
Dad: I don't know. Okay.
Isabella: it's kind of hard to
Dad: We'll see. She might be in a transition period. Maybe she'll get the full...
What, what's the equivalent of the apple or the orange for Potomac? Is it like a, you know, little tiny river model or like rock?
Isabella: glasses
Dad: That's stupid.
Isabella: doesn't make sense but
Dad: No, how about Wendy buying, I think it's a new Mercedes G-Wagon, and then calling it Psalm 91? I mean, w- oh, that's
so, I, I can't imagine where that's coming from,
Isabella: Yeah
Dad: And then one thing, you probably picked up on this too, but at some point she concedes that she and her husband Eddie have separate legal teams. One, they're at a picnic and she's like, "My legal team." I'm like, "Wait, what?
Your..." And then the producer specifically asked her, which I thought was pretty unusual, in a confessional, and she said yes. That's not a great sign, uh, for one of them or both of them
Isabella: Yeah. Um, and also they're clearly not doing very well in their marriage either. I think there was clearly some dishonesty. Sounds like it was from Eddie's but don't know for sure. Maybe you can find out from Bravo Docket. Uh, I know, I'm sure they'll... I mean, we know they're, those happen eventually
Dad: that, makes me wonder her, ha- has her case already happened? Because at the beginning of the season they said it's gonna be in a couple weeks, her trial. So I don't know if it actually has happened. That should be something easy to find out. But I think we would've heard about it.
Isabella: I
Dad: we'll follow up
Isabella: but yeah. You know, I mean, you know of all people court, it's like can be motions filed to
Dad: Right
Isabella: push it back and push and
Dad: I don't really know. was never a litigator, but yeah,
I, pay attention more than the average person, yeah
Isabella: okay. Tia's husband. Um, I guess Ashley has been talking bad about her husband saying
Dad: Rob. Rob is his name
Isabella: Rob, okay, thank you. And I guess Stacey had been talking about him too, but Stacey apologized to Tia for talking bad no Tia apologized to
Dad: Oh
Isabella: for talking bad about her husband, and because of that, Stacey felt that she could share what Ashley has been saying, that, uh, her husband's been on dating apps. And turns out that, we found this at, we found this out at the end of the episode, that husband ended up admitting to it.
Like, he said he was on dating apps. Um, Tia told Wendy this at the end of the episode. But I guess was the one who started this, not rumor, 'cause it's not a rumor, it seems to be the truth. Gizelle said somebody sent her and I guess Tia's upset because she feels that she and Gizelle are friends, and she's like, "Well, when were you gonna tell me this?"
And Gizelle's point is, "Well, we hear a lot of stuff that's often not true." And kind of see both sides here actually because if
Dad: I did too
Isabella: it was fake, then Tia would maybe be upset that she's, like, spreading rumors. So I don't know how you
Dad: At the same time, if you tell Ashley, knowing she has a big mouth, and then she goes on TV and says, "She's got something going on in the streets," it,
Isabella: Yeah
Dad: And then I, I did like how, um, Wendy was saying, "Well, I like how you are being..." She's basically calling them hypocrites by saying,
you know, because Gizelle said, "We're not gonna be talking about this," meaning the marital thing with Tia and Rob, "on our podcast."
And then Wendy says, "Oh, wait. Isn't that inconsistent?" And she's like, "Well, the difference is, is that your stuff is everywhere. It's all over the place, and it's public record that they've been, you know, indicted and are facing criminal charges. Whereas the marital thing, at least until the show comes out, wa- wasn't public. Now, of course, it is.
Isabella: Yeah Yeah I don't
Dad: messy
Isabella: I
Dad: messy
Isabella: there's a lot of mess going on, and I mean, I saw what Wendy was saying there, but yeah, t- to Wendy's point, if it had been Robyn, wouldn't be talking
Dad: And I think that Gizelle said, "You're right." Right? She admitted, but that's, that's how these things go. That's all I have for that one
Isabella: Yeah, but to your point, the preview for the whole
Dad: Yes
Isabella: a lot that
Dad: when we say, you say really good, we mean really bad. Right?
Isabella: Depends
Dad: back to the, the theme. it looks like a lot of human tragedy that we're gonna be watching like a train wreck,
Isabella: Yeah.
Dad: Yeah. It is, but, we, we look forward to the rest of the season and discussing it.
So that's all I have for this one
Isabella: Yeah. that's, uh, that's about all I have too. Um, oh, the only other thing I wanted to mention is we haven't done our game in a few weeks, but I another game
Dad: Okay
Isabella: maybe try next time. Uh, feel free to comment if you like this idea of maybe we would each put... This would probably have to be in person. Um, we're recording remote today, it would have to- so it would have to be in person. I would put a Post-It note of a Bravo liberty re- reality TV star, whatever, on your forehead, and you would do the same thing to me. And we have to guess who's on our forehead. It's kinda like the game Headbands, but a Bravo person.
Dad: Yep. For my generation, it's probably similar to $25,000 Pyramid where, like, I get the clue and I-- or the person I have to say, and there are certain things I can't say, right? So...
Isabella: Yeah. Like you have to ask questions of like, say is this person East Coast
Dad: Okay.
Isabella: I think it
Dad: Yeah.
Isabella: but
Dad: yeah
Isabella: let us know if, if you have a better idea, if there's anything you'd like us to do or
Dad: All right, and when you watch K2, if you like it, go, go watch that girl climber too. It's on Netflix, and then we'll talk about it next week. Okay.
Isabella: We'll
Dad: All right.
Isabella: All right,
Dad: Great.
Isabella: as,
Dad: everyone.
Isabella: listening.
Dad: you next week.
Isabella: See ya
Dad: Bye.
